Perfectly seared Salmon Steaks, marinated in maple syrup and lime zest, then grilled to perfection. Served with a tangy yogurt garlic sauce and garnished with pomegranate and fresh herbs.
Prepare the Marinade: In a large bowl, salt and brush salmon steaks with maple syrup, grate lime zest and coat well on both sides. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the Yogurt Garlic Sauce: In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil and lemon juice. Season with salt. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Grill the Salmon: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Install Cast Iron Reversible Griddle (the fish turns out juicier with a beautiful crust and, more importantly, the fish almost does not stick to your grill grate.) Brush the grill platform with olive oil. Remove the salmon from the marinade and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the salmon is cooked to your liking.
Serve: Place the grilled salmon on a serving platter. Drizzle some of the yogurt garlic sauce over the top or serve it on the side. Garnish with lime wedges and fresh Rosemary with pomegranate if desired. Enjoy: Serve this delicious dish as a centerpiece for your Christmas table, accompanied by your choice of festive sides.
