The Most Independent Burger in The World
20 mins prepServes 4
A festive burger recipe perfect for the 4th of July, featuring seasoned ground beef patties with American cheese, fresh lettuce, quick-pickled onions, and a special burger sauce, served alongside crispy air-fried potatoes.
1. Cut the potatoes into oblong slices and sprinkle with garlic salt, paprika and black pepper to taste. Add olive oil and mix.
2. Put potatoes to bake. In our case, we put the potatoes in the air fryer for 15 minutes 'Broil Mode' (400 °F/ 200 °C). You can also use the oven.
3. Pour boiling water over the chopped onion and add 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Stir and leave for a few minutes. Thus, the onion will get rid of bitterness and become tender in taste, but will not lose its crispy texture.
4. To prepare the burger sauce, chop the pickled cucumbers, add mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and mix.
5. Slightly toast the burger bun, brushing it with butter beforehand.
6. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper to taste and form into burger patties. In our case, we used a grill press to spread the cutlet in the pan and grill under pressure. Fry the cutlet on both sides until golden brown and place the American cheese on top.
7. Build the burger. Place two teaspoons of sauce on the bottom bun, top with the first cutlet, then lettuce and another cutlet. Sprinkle pickled onions on top and cover with a second bun.
8. Burger is ready. Bon appetit and Happy Independence Day!
